Practice appointment and cancellation policy
- If an appointment needs to be cancelled or rearranged by us, all patients are given as much notice as possible and an explanation of the reason; for example staff illness, holiday, course enrolment, equipment failure or laboratory work not back. Every effort is made to give as much notice as possible.
- If the patient wishes to cancel or rearrange an appointment; at least 24 hours’ notice should be given, by leaving a message on the practice answer machine or phone during working hours.
- Failure to do so may lead to a missed appointment fee, this may need to be settled before booking further appointments, as it could lead to other patients who need an appointment urgently having to wait unnecessarily.
- Patients who allow us to contact them will get an SMS text message approximately three days before to remind them, every effort is made to deliver these.
- All fees charges are at the discretion of the dentist.
- Patients who repeatedly fail to attend appointments are monitored and managed.
